1-Amo Chhu Crocodile Farm:

It is a breeding and conservation center for Gharial which is an endangered species of reptile. Today this farm has become among the top tourist attraction in Phuentsholing, Bhutan. Apart from that, it also has few seasonal birds, tortoises, and fishes.

Location: Few minutes of walking distance from Phuentsholing town.

2-Phuentsholing Park:

Another attraction in Phuentsholing is the Phuentsholing Park which is also the oldest park here. It is a great place for visiting with family and friends. The Eucalyptus and Sal trees in the park make the hot and sultry weather a bit pleasant. One can rest for hours on the resting spots made of concrete coming close to nature.

A basketball court is there, where Bhutanese, as well as Indians, come to play. Numerous outdoor gym equipment in the park offers you to stretch your muscles. Along with that, delicious mouth-watering food like momos and other snacks and tea are also available here.

3-Zangdopelri Lhakhang:

Zangdopelri is the place where Guru Padmasambhava is worshiped. Guru Padmasambhava is among the principal figures of Buddhism who bought it to Bhutan in the 8th century. There are many architectural replicas of this Zangdopelri in Bhutan.

It serves as an important house of offering for the locals of Phuentsholing. There are many miniature wheels which you can turn when you round the temple.

Rinchending Goemba popularly known as Khanbandi Gompa was built in the 1960s by Ashi Phuntso Choden Wangchuk. Driving along the Phuentsholing-Thimphu Road for just 20 minutes will bring you to this Gompa. It is among the most important Buddhist temples in Phuentsholing whose name stands for ‘Temple on Precious Hill.

Rinchending Goemba is a great photographic spot and on a clear day, it offers the alluring view of the Phuentsholing town and Indian Border towns in a single frame. The “Chorten Dheygid” which means eight stupas symbolizing different precepts and principles of Buddhism is installed here.

5-Phuentsholing View Point:

One of the best places for photography in Phuentsholing is the Phuentsholing View Point. It is one of the major attractions in Phuentsholing where people seem to enjoy outdoor camping. You can also visit a place called “Peeple Drngra” which has the same elevation as Rinchending Goemba and enjoy a mesmerizing view of the surroundings.
